Police have issued a red alert in Andhra Odisha Border following the Maoists' PLGA weekend program. Five Maoists were killed in two encounters that took place two months ago in the forests of the Zika Street Zone, the Maoists said. The Maoists are likely to carry out retaliatory strikes as the weekend program ends. This caused the people of the villages of Marumo to be scared.

However, the police apparatus was prepared to ruin the PLGA weekend. Visakha Rural SP Attada Babuji, Malkangiri in Odisha, and Koratuppu district police chiefs are reviewing from time to time.

The Andhra and Odisha police chiefs are reportedly planning to disrupt the Maoists' PLGA weekend. In addition to the Odisha police force, the police parties of Visakha district have jointly taken up the activities of combing. Additional police forces have been made available in the Maoist-affected areas of Koyuru, Seelaru, G K Veedhi, Chintapalli, Annavaram, G Madhumala, Pedabaya and Mungangipattu police stations. Officers of Araku, Dumbriguda, Hukumpeta and Anantagiri police stations and special parties of the police were alerted.

The red alert was announced in the posts of Rallughedda, Korukonda, Nurmati and Roodakota. With the Maoist Party's weekends, police surveillance on AOB has increased. Police are conducting extensive checks on all zones and main roads. Passengers' luggage bags are being checked. Police are checking with the bomb squad on either side of the way. Public representatives on the Maoists' hit list have been issued notices and are advised to move to the urban areas.
