Pinagadi villagers clash with the revenue authorities over land pooling in Visakhapatnam

Tension mounted at Pinagadi village of Pendurthi mandal of Visakhapatnam district on Monday after the villagers have expresses their outrage against the land pooling. The officials who reportedly came to acquire land of 32 acres from farmers were blocked.

The farmers are concerned about the land pooling and stated they would become landless if the lands were taken by government. However, the Revenue officials with the help of police demolished the huts and arrested the farmers.

While the TDP leaders have met with the farmers of villages and expressed solidarity.
