Nellore: Panabaka Lakshmi, TDP candidate of the Tirupati Lok Sabha, said there is a need for metro rail to temple city. I would strive for it if I elected, she stated. Addressing the media here on Saturday at her office, the TDP leader said volume of tourist population for the city has been increasing day-by-day and there is a need for smart public transport system which includes metro rail connecting important locations of the Tirupati.
She promised to develop facilities at railway station on par with international standards apart from achieving separate railway division to Tirupati. Her priorities include construction of Garuda flyover, realisation of NBPPL project at Mannavaram close to Srikalahasti and creation of jobs. Panabaka said she would also strive for railway coach factory if feasible.
She assured of developing IT sector in the region and construction of Dugarajapatnam Port for generation of employment to youth. If all these projects come to true, there would be possibility for overall development of both Nellore and Chittoor districts, She added.
Panabaka Lakshmi said there is a need for tourism development in coastal areas of Nellore district. Now, all sections of people are getting attracted to the assurances of the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his commitment towards State development.
