Officials told to complete KV building by December
MP Vanga Geetha and district Collector Krithika Shukla inspect KV building construction works
Kakinada: Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha, district Collector Krithika Shukla and Kakinada rural MLA Kurasala Kannababu inspected the construction works of Kendriya Vidyalaya at P Venkatapuram village of Kakinada rural on Friday. The MP and Collector sought information relating to the nature of works underway at the new premises.
MP Geetha stated that the Central government has sanctioned Rs 25 crore for the permanent building of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Kakinada. She stated that at present the KV authorities are paying rent for the building and carrying out the class work besides administrative works in Kakinada Public school. She said that in 2012, a site was allotted to the KV, but the buildings couldn't be constructed due to lack of funds.
Geetha said that after becoming MP in 2019, she started making hectic efforts and met the State and Central Ministers for getting adequate funds for the permanent buildings for KV. Stating that the new building will have all amenities including sophisticated laboratories, she said that the present KV school has classes up to Class X, but efforts are being made to upgrade to Plus 2 stage. She also stated that it gave immense happiness to observe Kakinada Kendriya Vidyalaya emerging as the best in two Telugu States. She instructed the officials to complete the works of the new building before the end of December.
Collector Krithika Shukla informed that the works pertaining to the new building for Kendriya Vidyalaya at Venkatapuram commenced in November 2022. She said at present 500 students are pursuing studies in Kendriya Vidyalaya and the new building will have all facilities including best labs, sports, quarters and other facilities for their education besides staff quarters.
