Meanwhile, former minister and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh wrote a letter to the centre on the Eluru situation. The letter asked Union Minister Harshavardhan to declare a state of emergency in Eluru. Hundreds of people in Eluru are going into a state of unconsciousness. He said the government was focused on promoting mass hysteria.

Lokesh tweeted that he had written a letter to Union Medical Health Minister Shri Harshavardhan to declare a health emergency in Eluru. He was angry that the government had left public health aside as the situation in Eluru was getting out of hand, that is why the centre should urgently intervene in this matter and protect the lives of the people of Eluru.

Meanwhile, the number of victims is increasing day by day. The beds of Eluru district hospital are filling up with increasing cases. Some of the victims have been shifted to the nearby Ashram Medical College after noticing their health condition. From Sunday night to Monday night, 147 people seem to have joined. While those admitted to the hospital are recovering, new victims keep coming to the hospital. More than 450 people have been admitted to the hospital so far and 17 people were shifted to Vijayawada and Guntur hospitals. In three days, 263 people recovered and went home.
