Some unidentified miscreants burnt an auto-rickshaw at Sundarada village in Meliaputti mandal in the wee hours of Sunday.
Srikakulam: Some unidentified miscreants burnt an auto-rickshaw at Sundarada village in Meliaputti mandal in the wee hours of Sunday.
According details, autodriver Pandi Trinadh plying his auto from Meliaptutti to Pathapatnam on ticket service every day. After completing his duty on Saturday night, Trinadh parked his auto in front of his house at Sundarada village.
On Sunday morning, he found that his auto was burnt. Immediately he lodged a complaint with police and in turn, the police rushed to the spot and collected details. Police started investigation over the incident after collecting prima facie details regarding the offence.
People's War Group (PWG), an extremist organisation conducted week-long celebrations in Agency till Saturday. In this backdrop, police are suspecting role of local members of the extremist wing. APSRTC also cancelled its night services in Agency for seven days. People of these areas had been depending on auto services for all these seven days.
