Minister Avanthi Srinivas said no one loves Hinduism more than him. The Minister has responded to criticism on wearing chappal despite being in Ayyappa Mala is dressed in sandals. He claimed to be wearing sandals on health issues. "Even when i am TDP MP and in Mala, i used to wear sandal," Minister added.

The minister reminded that TDP leader Murali Mohan is also wearing sandals when on Ayyappa Mala. Chandrababu, however, has been criticizing him on a religious basis to politicize the issue.

The minister also responded to Chandrababu's criticism of the introduction of English medium in public schools. He felt that it was inappropriate for him to meddle on the English medium. "Chandrababu's son Lokesh and grandson Devansh can study in English medium, why can't the poor have English Medium," Minister questioned Babu
