Police are suspecting accused has mumbai mafia links
Tirupati: Madanapalle Police intercepted a person Baba Farooq with two pistols and 29 bullets on Tuesday morning at Madanapalle rural in Chittoor District. Accused belongs to Sadumu village of the same district. It has created a sensation among the locals. According to Madanapalle DSP Ravi Manohar Achari, while the accused Farooq was carrying these weapons and bullets in a car towards Bengaluru during that time police intercepted him. His brother Siddiqee who was in Dubai instructed the Baba to collect the weapons from a person in Mumbai where he is working as a cab driver.
On his instructions, Baba Farooq collected those weapons and came back to native village Sadum and safeguarded the weapons for the last two days. Later , he carried those to safeguard somewhere in Bengaluru.
Police remanded him on the same day and decided to take him into police custody for further investigation.
DSP Ravi Manhoar said that " we are trying to drag the total links in the case, because accused Babba was already involved in a few cannabis (Ganja) smuggling cases, in view of that we are taking this case investigation as important".
