G Lakshmi Prasanna won a place in ‘Champions Book of World Records’ by participating in the prestigious Marathon Maha Brunda Ganam by reciting Vishnu and Lalitha Sahasranamam for four hours continuously.

Vijayawada: G Lakshmi Prasanna won a place in 'Champions Book of World Records' by participating in the prestigious Marathon Maha Brunda Ganam by reciting Vishnu and Lalitha Sahasranamam for four hours continuously. The event was held at Gantasala Music College here on Wednesday.

Lakshmi Prasanna, a student of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala, studying B Com 3rd year recited Slokas of Vishnu and Lalitha Sahasranamam for four hours continuously creating the record. About 4,000 participants took part in the Maha Brunda Ganam which was led by about 30 participants and recited Vishnu and Lalitha Sahasranamam.

Lakshmi Prasanna was one among the 30 participants who led the 4,000 team. The Champions Book of Records team honored Lakshmi Prasanna with a certificate, book and a memento. The college director Dr T Vijayalakshmi, principal M Nalini, faculty and students congratulated her on achieving the feat.
