Tirupati: Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) has formalised a strategic academic partnership with Clemson University, USA, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday. The agreement marks a significant milestone in advancing international research collaboration, academic exchange, and institutional engagement between the two institutions.

The agreement was finalised during the visit of a distinguished international delegation from Clemson University comprising Brian Watkins from the Office of International Relations, Dr Melissa Crawley Smith, Dr Kapil Chalil Madathil, Dr Kalyan Ram Piratla, and Dr Divya Srinivasan from college of engineering.

The delegation held detailed discussions with IIT Tirupati Director Prof KN Satyanarayana, Dean Prof Sasidhar Gumma and Advisor Dr Vaneet Kashyap. The identified thrust areas for potential collaboration include Environmental and Infrastructure Sustainability, Battery Technologies, Automobile Engineering and Robotics, and Applied Artificial Intelligence

These interactions enabled both institutions to explore joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, collaborative funding opportunities, and long-term academic partnerships.
