Guntur: Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharita on Sunday consoled the injured undergoing treatment in the hospital. She went to GGH in Guntur city on Sunday night and enquired about the health. She told the doctors to give the best type of treatment to the injured. She assured that the government will extend helping hand to the victims.

Also, the Minister promised compensation under the YSR Bima and housing schemes.

Meanwhile, MLA Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy on Monday handed over Rs 5 lakh compensation to the kin of those killed in the road accident at Veldurti mandal of Guntur district on Saturday.

The accident took place when the minivan in which they were travelling fell into a deep ditch.

The MLA gave Rs 5 lakh compensation to each of the deceased and Rs 50,000 from his pocket. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the government will extend helping hand to the kin of the deceased.

He termed the road mishap as most unfortunate and consoled the injured undergoing treatment in the Macherla Government Hospital.
