By and large, most of the nominated posts pertaining to temple trust boards and contracts were given to Backward Caste candidates he said. State Jangama Caste Welfare Society president S Gangadhar submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Chief Minister on Sunday.

Narayana Swamy said that the government provided a lion share to the BCs in the budget allocation while introducing a number of welfare schemes. ``Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is highly committed for the welfare of BCs right from the beginning following the footsteps of his father Y S Rajasekhar Reddy,'' he said.

He reiterated that Chief Minister had inducted five persons belonging to weaker sections as Deputy Chief Ministers. He assured that he would take the issues of Jangam caste people to the notice of Chief Minister for due action . In his memorandum, Gangadhar requested the government to sanction house site to all the eligible beneficiaries of his caste besides Rs.5 lakhs to each Jagama family in the state.
