Former minister Atchannaidu moves High Court over his discharge from hospital

Former minister and TDP MLA Atchannaidu, who was arrested in an ESI scam in Andhra Pradesh has been shifted to jail after being discharged from the Guntur GGH. He was taken to Vijayawada Prison. However, the latest development has raged a concern from the TDP who were furious for sending him to jail despite being ill. They alleged government of acting vengeance and scared of the thing that he would get bail. Meanwhile, Atchannaidu approached the Andhra Pradesh High Court for shifting him to jail.

The petition was filed in the high court alleging the government for forcibly taking him to the District Jail. Atchannaidu's lawyer has filed lunch motion petition in the High Court. The court, which took it to trial, is likely to hear arguments on Friday morning.

On the other hand, the ACB is likely to seek Atchannaidu's custody once again. The ACB is also objecting the bail petition of the former minister citing that he would affect the witnesses. Despite Atchannaidu's repeated urge not to shift him from hospital, the hospital authorities discharged him after finding his reports normal. However, Atchannaidu who was in judicial remand has been shifted to Vijayawada jail.
