West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the officials to follow rule of reservation without fail in the appointment of village volunteers.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has directed the officials to follow rule of reservation without fail in the appointment of village volunteers.
He addressed RDOs, Tahsildars, MPDOs and mandal special officers at a workshop to train the officials on the modalities of appointment of village volunteers on here Saturday.
The Collector explained the procedure to be followed in the appointment of the village volunteers in detail. He instructed them to summarise the data relating to households in each village and then decide the number of village volunteers needed.
Later, the officials have to prepare the merit list after conducting interviews to the candidates with signatures of all interview board members. The officials should also finalise the number of posts allotted to each reserved community as per the rule of reservation. He clarified the doubts raised by the officials at the meet and ordered them to make appointments without any hassles.
Kukkunuru ITDA project officer MH Harendra Prasad, Assistant Collector Himanshu Kaushik, DPO Victor, ZP CEO Nagarjunasagar and other officials were present.
