Tirupati: District Collector Dr N Bharat Gupta participated as Chief Guest in the inaugural function of National Children's Science Congress (NCSC) held at Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) Auditorium here on Sunday.

He said that 167 projects from 13 districts in the state were selected after a careful scrutiny at district level and the guide teachers should take care in preparing 17 projects for the National level meet to bring laurels to the district and to the State.

"Students should interact with other students during these two days and exchange their ideas which can sharpen their thinking. Your teachers are your source of inspiration and listen to them patiently and learn", he advised the students.

Trainee Collector Prudhvi Tej opined that students should be inquisitive to acquire more knowledge and become dynamic. Learning is a continuous process and students should never stop learning and always keep their spark alive, The projects from different districts will explain their creative ideas resembling current situation, he said.

SPMVV Registrar Prof DM Mamatha has said that these types of forums help the students to showcase their talent. They should reach their goals with self-confidence and concentration. They should be exposed to great talent and make them to excel on international platforms.

AP State Council of Science and Technology (APCOST) Member Secretary P Phala Chandra Rao, Coordinator of Regional Science Centre R Manikantan, Sarvasiksha Abhyian Project Officer P Venkata Ramana Reddy, In charge DEO C Vijayendra Rao, District Science Officer P Neelakanta and others took part in the programme.

Earlier, a march past by the participants from 13 districts was held in SPMVV campus. Collector witnessed it and took the salute. The cultural programmes arranged by the students of Jawahar Bala Bhavan received huge applause from the audience.
