Tirupati: TTD employees are planning a strong stir against its board decision which announced the implementation of the State Government EHS ( Employee Health Scheme ) to them. They were asking for the last many years to provide cashless treatment directly with tie up of corporate hospitals at Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. It may be noted that a total of 25000 employees, pensioners and their dependents will be benefited through cashless treatment.
Over this issue for the last two years, TTD was exercising for implementing medical insurance to its employees. Two years ago TTD board had appointed a subcommittee with officials and employees unions leaders on this issue to come to a conclusion.
After that subcommittee made discussions with various private medical insurance companies as well as corporate hospital managements which were running in Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad like Apollo, Care, CMC, Asia Colombia and etc.
And finally the subcommittee recommended for implementing cashless treatment to TTD employees with tie-up of corporate hospital management without the involvement of private insurance companies. The same matter was sent to board approval, and the then JEO LakshmiKantham officially made a statement TTD will implement cashless treatment for its employees in corporate hospitals soon.
But, after YSRCP formed the government in the state the present board was newly appointed and officials have resubmitted the cashless treatment draft to the board for its approval.
All of a sudden TTD board took U turn on this issue and its Chairman YV Subba Reddy announced recently in the November 28 board meeting that they will implement cashless treatment through ArogyasriNetwork hospitals by implementing EHS on par with Government Employees.
They mentioned that for this also TTD has to spend Rs 4crores above the amount per annum. Whereas here employees were opposing the EHS implementation and they were in worry about the cashless treatment through ArogyaSri trust. One of the Sub Committee members and TTD union leader told The Hans India that EHS is not useful to get cashless treatment all the time in leading corporate hospitals at Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Sometimes they will reject EHS patients for admission in their hospitals due to delay in releasing funds by the ArogyaSri trust as well as other technical reasons.
In the situation, we are not accepting the TTD decision and plan to build up strong movement against the board decision as well as we will launch continued stir against the management until achieving the direct cashless treatment through TTD.
And also TTD staff and workers united front honorary president G Venkatesham said that we gave a call for an online opinions collection programme among the employees, pensioners against EHS implementation. Shortly we will meet TTD Chairman YV SubbaReddy on this issue, he added.
