Amaravati: After crossing the cyclone Fani from Andhra Pradesh, the Election Commission of India has relaxed the Model Code of Conduct for four districts including East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam on Friday.
The Chief Electoral Officer Gopal Krishna Dwivedi released the relaxation orders to media here in Secretariat. The Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has wrote a letter to the ECI requesting to relax the MCC in the four districts to initiate preventive, rescue and restoration activities to successfully face the cyclone Fani.
