Vijayawada: After two days of a successful trial run the Durga temple administration is allowing the devotees from Wednesday morning for the Darshan of Goddess Kanaka Durga. Several hundred devotees arrived at the temple on the first day of the darshan, which started at 6 a.m. The temple administration is taking measures for the thermal screening, maintenance of physical distance and sanitisation of the entire temple premises particularly the queue lines.

Sodium hypochlorite sprinkled every half an hour at all public places and areas. The time slot is allotted online for the devotees, who have booked tickets online. Only two types of Darshan is allowed free darshan and Rs.100 ticket darshan till a further decision is taken. The temple administration has earlier successfully conducted trial run two days on June 8 and 19 and satisfied with arrangements. Endowments Minister Velampalli Srinivas personally inspected arrangements along with the Trust Board chairman P Sominaidu two days ago. Lift facility has been cancelled and devotees have to enter the temple through the Maha mandapam route. Sathagopam and Teerdham also cancelled and the devotees will get the Prasadam at the exit point. Temple executive officer M V Suresh Kumar is supervising the arrangements.
