Crop loans to tenant farmers demanded

Tadepalligudem: AP Tenant Farmers Association has demanded that the government issue crop loans to tenant farmers without troubling them to bring documents like consent letter of landlord and pattadar passbooks.

Addressing a meeting of tenant farmers here on Tuesday, the association state president N Rangarao demanded that the government issue loan eligibility cards to all tenant farmers without discrimination.

As per the guidelines of Reserve Bank, the officials should issue interest-free loans up to Rs 2 lakh without any guarantor. The meeting passed resolutions by discussing issues relating to rabi crop arrears, crop insurance, crop loans etc.
