CREDAI requests for sand stock point in Chittoor district
The lack of sand stock point and sand reaches in Chittoor district were pointed out by The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) during its fourth property expo in Tirupati on Friday.
Tirupati: The lack of sand stock point and sand reaches in Chittoor district were pointed out by The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) during its fourth property expo in Tirupati on Friday.
Tirupati Chapter President of CREDAI, TS Rajasekhar Gupta appealed to the MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy, who inaugurated the expo, to take steps for setting up a sand stock point immediately in the district.
Elaborating the problem further, Gupta told The Hans India that due to non- availability of sand all projects which are in their initial stages have been stopped. Projects in advanced stage are being continued mostly by using alternative methods.
For instance, for flooring purpose dust was being used, manufactured sand (M-Sand) is used for brick works. Similarly, ready mix concrete (RMC) is used for slabs etc., But for plastering, M-Sand cannot be used and have to wait for sand, he explained.
Non-availability of sand has become a major issue and we are desperately looking for the availability of sand and stock points," Gupta said. When asked about the steps to bring awareness on the use of M-Sand, he said that they have been asking the government to use it in government and TTD works so that people can be convinced.
Since 13 years, people are not convinced on the use of fly ash, he stated, Several builders have opened their stalls and providing the brochures explaining the features of their ventures.
People can compare among various projects and take a decision which suits their needs, Gupta averred. Further, to save time, several reputed banks have opened the stalls in the three-day expo to provide spot sanctions for house loans to the needy.
MLA Karunakar Reddy assured CREDAI of all help from government for their ventures. BJP leader G Bhanu Prakash Reddy also addressed the meet besides former TUDA Chairman and TDP leader G Narasimha Yadav.
