District Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara said that the village and ward secretariat jobs recruitment examination started peacefully here on Sunday.
Ongole: District Collector Dr Pola Bhaskara said that the village and ward secretariat jobs recruitment examination started peacefully here on Sunday. He inspected the test centers and issued necessary orders for the smooth conduct of the examinations.
The District Collector started for the inspection of the exam centers after the officials informed him of sending the question papers, OMR sheets and other examination material to the respective centers from the strong room in the collectorate.
He visited the PACE College of Engineering, Pothula Chenchaiah Government Junior College in Tangutur, Upper primary school in K Bitragunta, Malineni Lakshmaiah Engineering College in Singarayakonda, ZP Girls High School and Prakasam Engineering College in Kandukur, Viveka B.Ed. Collge and Government High School in Pamur, Alpha Agri Polytechnic College, ABR Engineering College, KTR High School in Kanigiri, ZP Girls High School and Narayana High School in Markapuram and interacted with the special officers, hall supervisors, root officers and police officers and offered them a few suggestions.
The District Collector announced that for the total 75899 candidates applied for the ward and village secretariat recruitment exam for Sunday morning session, 70088 candidates attended and 5811 candidates were absent. For the evening session exam, he announced that 17785 candidates attended for the total of 19340 applied and 1555 candidates were absent for the exam.
He announced that no untoward incidents were reported and the exams were held peacefully under the imposition of 144 section and tight security. He said that special arrangements were done for the candidates with special needs and blind candidates.
He appreciated Joint Collector S Shanmohan for taking steps for the peaceful conduct of the exams as prestigious and spending day and night for the last week in training the staff from ground level to district level and making arrangements to transport exam material and staff to the exam centers in time.
