Vijayawada: Municipal Commissioner Prasanna Venkatesh on Friday ordered the officials concerned to arrange the pedestal for the statue of former Chief Mminister, the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy by evening at Police Control Room.
As part of city visit, the Commissioner made a field level inspection of the works for the erection of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy statue near police control room. He spoke to the officials and gave a few suggestions on completing the works soon. He instructed them to erect the statue of Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy on a pedestal by evening as the pedestal works were complete.
Furthermore, he directed them and the contractors to speed up the remaining work and complete them in two days. Chief engineer JV Ramakrishna, executive engineer ASN Prasad and others concerned contractor were present.
