Chittoor: As many 53,494 candidates have been applied to attend Class X examinations in Chittoor district to be commenced from March-23 in which 27,908 are boys and 25,786 are girls, according to V R Chndra Mouli, Joint Collector-2 . Effective measures have been initiated to conduct the examinations and the district officers should work with team spirit, he said. The Joint Collector addressed a meeting at the Collectorate on Tuesday to review the plan of action for conducting Class X exams .
He said that it was decided to hold the examinations in 265 centres, mostly government institutions, across the district . The examinations would be held from March 23 to April 8. As per the guidelines , 144 section would be promulgated at all the examination centres and no Xerox centres would be allowed to function near the examination centres during the examination time.
Tables would be provided for the candidates to write their examinations and power supply will be ensured.
He further said that the examinations would be held in jumbling process as per the instructions of the government . He said 14 flying squads would monitor the examination process to prevent copying and other irregularities.
Needful police force would also be deployed at all the examinations centres for preventing untoward incidents, Chandra Mouli added. Prabhavathi, Assistant Commissioner of Government Examinations, officers of education department were present.
