Chittoor: District Collector N B Gupta has instructed the concerned Revenue Divisional Officers of Madanapalli, Chittoor and Tirupati divisions and the Mandal Revenue Officers in the Revenue Divisions to complete the process for preparing final list of beneficiaries for distribution of house sites within two days.

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy would launch the house sites distribution scheme on July 8 on the birth anniversary of former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.

Addressing the Mandal Revenue Officers through a video conference held at Collectorate on Friday , he said that the selection of the eligible beneficiaries of the scheme has been finalised in the district.

" As many as 1,33,496 beneficiaries are selected in the district for distribution of house sites and 3,026 acre of land is needed. Out of which 906 acre of land from Government and 180 acre of land from private parties has been acquired," he said.

The District Collector further said that many of the applicants for house sites have registered their names in the Sachivalayams " In the second phase of House Sites Distribution scheme , these applicants would be considered for allotting house sites based on their eligibility criteria. D Markendeyulu, Joint Collector and Rajasekhar, In-charge DRO were present.
