Chittoor: Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy assured that house sites will be given to all the poor before Ugadi festival.
Instructions were given to the Revenue Department to finalise the selection of candidates and see that all the poor will be benefitted, he said.
He participated in Spandana programme held at Sri Rangarajapuram of Gangadhara Nellore Mandal on Monday. District Collector N Bharat Gupta, Joint Collector D.Markendeyulu and YCP leaders were present.
Petitioners across the Assembly segment have flooded to the programme and separate counters were opened to register the grievances.
Addressing the gathering, Narayanaswamy reiterated that Chief Minster Jagan Mohn Reddy is committed to fulfil all the promises made by him during the election campaign.
"YSR Rythu Bharosa is an ideal scheme to benefit the farmers to a great extent and all the farmers will be covered under the programme. Likewise, YSR Vahana Mithra scheme also benefitted the auto rickshaw drivers," he added.
He said that many of the farmers in his constituency were facing problems for obtaining pattadar passbooks. He cautioned that he will not spare any officer if they neglect the interests of the farmers.
The Dy CM further said that diversion of HNSS water to the drought-prone areas in the district will be initiated through a comprehensive strategy.
He said steps will be intensified for enforcing total prohibition in the state in which cooperation Self-help groups and Mahila mandals will be sought. District Collector N B Gupta instructed the officials to ensure drinking water supply to all the villages in GD Nellore constituency.
