Chandrababu Naidu responsible for Kodela Siva Prasad suicide, YSRCP
YSRCP leaders blamed that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the suicide of former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao as he was humiliated on many counts and brushed aside the remarks that the state had any role in the episode.
Amaravati: YSRCP leaders blamed that TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was responsible for the suicide of former Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao as he was humiliated on many counts and brushed aside the remarks that the state had any role in the episode.
"It was Chandrababu Naidu who had humiliated Kodela by not giving him due respect in the Party. He encouraged rival groups within party activities and did not respond to Kodela's phone calls which have driven him to the extreme step. If the call data of his cell phone is taken out, the reason for his death will come to light", blamed Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani, Government Chief Whip Gadikota Srikanth Reddy, PAC member, MLA Ambati Rambabu and others.
The government did not put even a single case against Kodela and YSRCP nothing to do with this suicide, explained Nani. "Government property, including furniture was taken away from the Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Assembly by the Speaker and was shifted to his son's business place. Builders and contractors filed complaints with police about the corruption of Kodela and his family members based on which cases were registered.", he added.
The former Speaker, who confessed that he shifted Assembly furniture to his personal place, later issued a letter asking the officials to take back the material. It is not the value of the furniture but the intent and the arrogance that drew attention, they said.
They said, 'Chandrababu Naidu went into hiding immediately after hearing the news and came to the public only after it was clear that there was no suicide note and his name was not included in it.
Once the air was clear, he started playing with sentiments and whipping up passions blaming the state and has been carrying campaign against the government levelling false and baseless allegations, the YSRCP claimed.
Chandrababu Naidu organized a camp for YSRCP victims of Palnadu, but did not include Kodela in it which makes it clear that the question of victimization did not arise, the Minister opined. If Kodela was haunted, as claimed by TDP, then why he was not there in the Chalo Atmakur camp, they asked.
Kodela was never given his due place in the Party events, Srikanth Reddy added. Chandrababu Naidu did not meet Kodela in the hospital where he was being treated after a failed suicide attempt recently, he said.
After losing 2019 election, Chandrababu Naidu did not meet Kodela even once and encouraged another group which might surely hurt the ageing TDP leader, YSRCP leaders said.
"It was Chandrababu Naidu who gave Kodela sleepless nights by insulting him and rejecting him. He had done it NTR and Nandamuri Harikrishna in past.", Rambabu said.
