Nellore: Nellore Lok Sabha BJP candidate and party's state general secretary S Suresh Reddy exuded confidence over the charisma of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the development programmes being implemented by the Centre are their campaign agenda. He interacted with The Hans India on Sunday and said there has been a positive trend in the country on excellent development activities of BJP and people are expressing confidence over leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"Our trump card is welfare programmes and development schemes taken up by the Centre for the last five years in the country which we focus on during our campaign. People won't believe propaganda of leaders of local ruling party which failed to achieve good progress and also failed to utilise funds provided by the Centre. We mainly explain to the people on what we have done for the last five years and how local governments fail to utilise them," said Suresh Reddy.

He said TDP has been accusing the Centre for its failures and it was only because of their insecurity and also fearing to face people's wrath during the ensuing polls. He said only BJP leaders have been focusing on local issues and mentioned about turmeric scam in Udayagiri area, and poor quality constructions in the district headquarters.

"Local businessmen who were picked as their candidates by TDP and YSRCP never focus on local issues and they simply look after their business activities and they are always unavailable to common people." said the BJP candidate.

The BJP leader said YSRCP candidate Adala Prabhakar Reddy always shifts loyalties from one party to another for his selfish interests. Such leaders will not serve voters if they are elected, he said. He said people have to understand that candidates from business community will not be useful for them who mainly focus on their business activities.
