Visakhapatnam: ASTraM app aimed to identify traffic bottlenecks was launched in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. The app was launched by Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha and City Commissioner of Police Shankhabrata Bagchi in the city.

Speaking about the public friendly app, the Home Minister announced that the app will be made completely accessible in three months. The movement of VVIPs and VIPS has seen a rise in Visakhapatnam. Similarly, the number of vehicles has also witnessed a surge. As a result, the city junctions experience severe traffic congestion. The app aids the user to get real time traffic updates and it is a one stop solution for commuters, the Home Minister explained.

With Visakhapatnam being the major city of Andhra Pradesh, the City Commissioner of Police stated that a number of national and international events are taking place in the city. “People can download the app and make sure that they do not face any traffic glitches,” the CP stated. He further encouraged the police personnel to build awareness about the app and ensure that they reach the target audience.
