Arla Akkamma Mahotsavam held grandly at Kondukuduru village in Konaseema

The Mahotsavam of goddess Sri Sri Sri Arla Akkamma was held grandly for two days at Kondukuduru village of Ainavilli mandal of Ambedkar Konaseema district. The devotees performed their prayers unitedly with lamps. The specialty of the fair is that the whole village comes with lamps on their heads to Akkamma temple while thousands of devotees from other districts as well as other states came to see this fair.

As part of the two-day mahotsavam, the devotees organised Jatara, Teertham, and Gandra Deepotsavam programs. Also, during the village functions, the devotees put the gandhra lamps of the goddess on their heads and came to the goddess in procession along with dances and firecrackers to offer prayers to the goddess.

The locals said that devotees from faraway places come in large numbers to this fair which comes once a year because of the belief that their wishes will be fulfilled.
