APSRTC operates bus services between Chilakaluripet and Macherla in Guntur district

Guntur: The APSRTC Guntur region is operating bus services only to Chilakaluripet from Macherla, Macherla to Chilakaluripet towns from Thursday. The bus services will be operated between 7 am to 7 pm respectively

Guntur to Vijayawada, Guntur to Ongole bus services within the district did not start because the district is in the red zone. The district administration refused to give permission to operate bus services in the red zone areas in the district. As a result, the RTC did not start bus services in the district.

Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) resumed services in the state after the gap of nearly two months. Bus services from Pandit Nehru bus station in Vijayawada resumed to Vizag and other places. However, the government has made wearing a mask as a mandatory for all passengers in the buses and RTC has made arrangements for sanitization of passengers.

All buses are operated without conductors and online as well as current booking facility also provided for boarding the buses. Initially, as many as 1683 buses were operated in 436 routes in the state and gradually the services will be increased.
