APCC president Sake Sailajanath asks PM to come clean on Chinese incursion
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Sake Sailajanath on Sunday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reveal the facts relating to China’s incursion into the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, the Galwan valley and other places.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president Sake Sailajanath on Sunday demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi reveal the facts relating to China's incursion into the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, the Galwan valley and other places.
In a press release here, Sailajanath questioned why the Prime Miniser is not informing the people about the factual position at the Indo-China border. He wondered whether it was not true that the Chinese army had encroached upon Galwan valley, Pangong lake and reached to Y Junction.
He described the government not revealing the fact is nothing cheating the people. He recalled that Indian troops during the UPA government had hit back at the China army in 2013 when they intruded into the Y junction in Ladakh. The Congress party is raising the issue in the interest of the security of the country, he said.
He said taking donations for the PM Cares fund from Chinese companies is a threat to the integrity of the nation.
He said there are no modalities for collection of PM Cares fund and there is no information who will supervise the funds, how to spend the donation and there are no specific goals for it.
Sailajanath said the Prime Minister Office sources said that the PM Care fund does not come into purview of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India. The PCC chief said by May 2020, the PM Cares fund received donations to the tune of Rs 9,678 crore. He questioned why China companies did not send donations to India in 2013 and questioned why the China company TikTok donated Rs 30 crore to PM Cares fund.
