AP witnessed as Role Model by implementing Disha ACT: Deputy CM Amzath Basha

Kadapa: Deputy Chief Minister Amzath Basha has said that Andhra Pradesh state has witnessed as role model for entire the the country by introducing Disha Act.

Speaking after inaugurating Disha police station in Kadapa city here on Saturday the Deputy CM lauded that the state government which has attracted the attention of entire nation after implementation of Disha Act, acting transparent and responsble by providing justice to the victims immediately after the incident through establishment Disha police stations.

Joint Collector M. Gouthami has said that government is going to establish as many as 18 police stations in the state very soon. She praised that it is welcome decision by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in deploying IAS IAS officer Kruthika Sukla, IPS officer Deepika for pursuing Disha cases. She said that it is proud others states are contemplating to follow AP for implementation of Disha Act.

District Superintendent of Police KVVN Anburajan said that as many as 11 cases have been registered in the district after introduction of Disha Act apart from 4 were put Charge Sheet. The SP detailed that IPC sections 354F, 354G were additionally added in the Disha Act inconnection sexual assualt against women and children. He analyzed that as many as 486 women representatives each 10 for every village rendering service for effective implementation of the act. He said special courts comprising total 13 public prosecutors would be established very soon in the state. Railway Kodur MLA and government whip K. Srinivasulu, Kamalapuram M LA P. Ravindranath Reddy, Additional SP Srinivasulu Reddy , Women&Child department Project Director Padmaja, District Educational Officer Sailaja and others were present.
