The Andhra Pradesh government has took a key decision as far as the education sector as concerned. Ever since YS Jagan was sworn in as the Chief Minister, it is known that he has been focusing on education. In this order many revolutionary activities were undertaken. In this regard, the school education department has brought a special website for students studying from 9th to 12th class in the state to choose the career in which they are interested in.

UNICEF, in collaboration with the Osman Foundation, has designed this to be useful for government school students. Students can go to the website with their identification number and password and find out the career details they want. The website features over 555 careers, 21,000 college details, 1,150 entrance exam information and over 1,500 scholarships. It is reported that teachers should educate students to take advantage of this opportunity.

A special field level project for career guidance for tenth grade students is embedded in the academic calendar. Students are required to bring together people from different professions in their immediate area to gather some information from them and prepare a project workshop. The main purpose is to make the students aware of the respective professions as a result.

It is learnt that on October 8, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, which the AP government considers very ambitious, at the Punadipadu Zilla Parishad High School in Krishna district. The 'Jagananna Vidya Kanuka' kits include a school bag along with three pairs of uniforms, 1 pair of shoes, 2 pairs of socks, belt, school books and notebooks. For the first time in any state in the country, Jagan government is also presenting work books. Meanwhile, the uniform stitching amount will also be credited to the mothers' accounts.
