The government of Andhra Pradesh has issued orders releasing DA to government employees for a period of July 2019 to December 31, 2021. The orders were issued following a recent announcement of PRC by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The government of Andhra Pradesh has issued orders releasing DA to government employees for a period of July 2019 to December 31, 2021. The orders were issued following a recent announcement of PRC by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The government also released another GO over implementation of 23 percent fitment to employees. On the other hand, the government has issued orders implementing the Monetary Benefit from April 1, 2020.

It is learned that AP government employees have been demanding release of DA arrears for the last two years. To this end, in December last year, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with union leaders and assured that the DA would be deposited from January.

The Finance Ministry had in December issued an official order to release DA arrears to state government employees from July 1, 2019. The orders state that 5.24 percent DA arrears per month would be released. The AP government has released five pending DAs simultaneously along with January salaries. Similarly, salaries with a 23 per cent fitment increase will also be paid from this month.
