AP Governor gives call to plant trees to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas

Vijayawada: AP Governor Biswa Bhushan Harichandan has called upon the citizens to plant five trees and save the environment of the country to mark Kargil Vijay Diwas.

The Governor has paid tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Kargil war. Later, BB Harichandan, along with his wife, has planted the saplings on the Raj Bhavan premises in Vijayawada.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that PM Modi had given a call to every citizen to plant saplings for the heroic Jawans of Kargil. He noted that if everyone plants five saplings, then we can also protect our health, and added that there is a need to safeguard the integrity of the nation.
