YS Jagan's government in Andhra Pradesh shocked by increasing the price of domestic and foreign liquor up to Rs 250. Liquor bottles sold under the name Ready to Drink raised Rs 20. The increased rates are expected to be in effect from today.

As per government orders, the local and foreign liquor increased by Rs 20 on a quarter bottle, Rs 40 on a half bottle and Rs 80 on a full bottle. Rs 10 per litre of domestic liquor and Rs 100 per litre liquor bottle and Rs 250 on a two-litre bottle. Foreign liquor increased by Rs 10 on 50/60 mL bottles and Rs 250 on bottles of alcohol-containing two and a half litres. Also, the price of 330/500 mL beer bottles increased by Rs 10 and 650 mL beer bottles by Rs 20.

Also, there is 6 per cent retail excise tax on domestic and foreign liquor is The government has issued orders to pay 4 per cent of sales to APBCL, which operates liquor stores from today. The commission will be used to pay rent and staff wages. From today the sale of alcohol in AP will continue from 11 am to 8 pm. The government has initially said that liquor stores will be open from 10 am to 9 pm changed in the eleventh hour.
