AP Chambers urged to support govt in implementing jobs for locals: B Udaya Lakshmi
B Udaya Lakshmi, Principal Secretary of Labour Employment Training and Factories said that Andhra Pradesh was the only State in the country which has enacted an Act for providing 75 percent of employment to the locals in Industries and Factories.

Addressing an interactive session on the GO MS No 21 about 75 percent jobs to locals organised by Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation (AP Chambers) here on Tuesday, she said this Act is applicable for any factory, industry, enterprise, public or private partnership firms or joint ventures.
District level and State level nodal agency will look into the implementation of the Act in all factories. She also said that through skill gap analysis, AP State Skill Development Centres will train unemployed candidates to develop their skills and getting many employment opportunities in local industries.
She requested the AP Chambers to support them in collecting the data on 'Skill gap analysis' sector-wise to train and make available skilled manpower. Every industrialist should take it as moral responsibility to provide local employment in the industry/factories.
G Rekha Rani, Special Commissioner of Labour, Bala Kishore, Director Factories, A Satyanarayana, Executive Director, AP Chambers, KVS Prakash Rao, President, AP Chambers, P Bhaskara Rao, General Secretary were also present on the occasion. Around 40 State Level Associations, District Chambers affiliates to AP Chambers participated in the event from across the state.
