Andhra Pradesh: One year for Amaravati movement, farmers to hold Jana Rana Bheri today

The Amaravati movement has reached another milestone. No matter how many problems the movement faced, it continues to grow. Farmers, women and locals are fighting under the slogan of keeping the capital of Andhra Pradesh at Amaravati. People are protesting with initiations, dharnas and rallies since the day chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced the three capitals in the assembly. The protests have been going on in capital villages of Tulluru, Velagapudi, Rayapudi, Thallapalem, Bethapudi and people said that the concerns will continue until the government responds revokes its decision.

A huge public meeting will be held today under the name 'Jana Rana Beri' on the occasion of the one year for the Amaravati movement. JAC leaders have already completed arrangements for the event at Rayapudi. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is estimated that about 30,000 people will attend the meeting. The event will be attended by TDP chief, former chief minister Chandrababu and party leaders. Chandrababu will reach the hall at 12 noon. Babu will address the farmers and the sacrifices of the farmers.

Farmers and women from the villages of the capital will flock to this Janabheri. Farmers and women wearing green scarves and green robes come to the house. It is a known fact that political parties have expressed support for Janabheri Sabha. CPM and CPI state secretaries P Madhu, K Ramakrishna, APCC chief Shailajanath and Tulsi Reddy will be present. The Janabheri Sabha was cordoned off by the police. Police have imposed restrictions on anyone from entering the area. Those coming to this house are being obstructed.

Farmers have been protesting in the Amaravati region for over a year. Women have played a key role in the movement from the very beginning. Children and the elderly also participated and national highway blockade, assembly siege, women's walk to get plants to Kanakadurgam.
