A car carrying four friends overturned at Yarrabalem near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Monday night and plunged into a pond. The four young men drowned in the accident. Going into the details, Vaka Srinivasa Rao (34), a carpenter, Tejramji (25), a document writer, Kollur Sai (25), his assistant, and Pawan Kumar (26), an AC mechanic, are friends. While they were on their way to Tulluru in a car lost control at Yarrabalem Yarracheruvu and plunged into the pond.

As the car mirrors opened the water entered and the four became waterlogged. Vehicles coming from Tulluru noticed this and stopped the lorry coming on the route and pulled the car out with the help of a rope. 108 personnel examined the four and determined they were dead.

The accident is said to have happened just five minutes before they could reach home. Tejramji phoned his wife Maheshwari and told her that he would be at home in 5 minutes. Maheshwari called Ramji again as her husband was not there for a while and relatives said that she collapsed when people at the scene of the accident picked up the phone and told her that Ranji was dead.

Ramji married Maheshwari, whom he met through Facebook two years ago. They have a 5-month-old son. Also, Vaka Sreenu has a wife and two children. The bodies were shifted to Mangalagiri Area Hospital for postmortem.
