To ensure hassle-free parking facility for vehicles in Tirumala, TTD is getting ready with additional parking arrangements for the upcoming annual Brahmotsavams in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) area, said Tirumala Special Officer (SO) AV Dharma Reddy.

With just two weeks to go for annual Brahmotsavams in Tirumala, SO has held a high-level meeting on security arrangements to be made during the ensuing annual Brahmotsavams with a special focus on the day of Garuda Seva with CVSO Gopinath Jatti and Tirupati Urban SP Anburajan at Gokulam Conference Hall on Thursday.
During the review meeting, the SO urged the TTD vigilance sleuths and police personnel to make elaborate arrangements in providing security cover to pilgrims and paying extra attention in all the entry and exit points at galleries especially on Garuda Seva Day.
With respect to parking facilities, the SO instructed the concerned to identify the parking places with specific numbering to facilitate pilgrims to reach their vehicles without any inconvenience after Garuda Seva.
He also instructed to guide the pilgrims on parking places by forming a guiding group, who have enough knowledge about these parking areas and their route maps. He also directed to see the possibility of plying shuttle vehicles to transport aged and differently abled pilgrims to reach these parking areas safely. "Continuous announcements through Public Address System should be given to inform the pilgrims", he added.
CVSO said this year a special focus is laid on luggage counters keeping in view of the previous year experience. "Since this year, the Garuda Seva crowd is coupled with Third Peratasi Saturday on an immediate day, we are anticipating more crowd than last year and making arrangements to meet the pilgrim demand", he maintained.
Urban SP said three circuitous routes have been identified as Tirupati, Ghat Road and Tirumala to avoid any inconvenience to pilgrim public on Garuda Seva Day. Chief Engineer Ramachandra Reddy, GM Transport Sesha Reddy, RTC RM Chengal Reddy, Additional CVSO Venkata Siva Reddy, ASP Maheswara Raju and other officers took part in the meeting.
