1,31,144 families to get housing sites in Prakasam
The Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara informed the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that a total of 131144 beneficiaries are going to receive housing sites in Prakasam district.
Ongole: The Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara informed the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that a total of 131144 beneficiaries are going to receive housing sites in Prakasam district.The collector and other district officials participated in the videoconference with the chief minister on Tuesday.
In the meeting, the chief minister ordered the collector to take the distribution of housing sites as a special priority and make the land ready for distribution. He ordered Bhaskara to be ready to distribute the sites to 100 percent beneficiaries on July 8. He also ordered the collector to take all measures to complete the first phase of the Veligonda project and complete the land acquisition and ready the rehabilitation and resettlement package. He said the collector that the cabinet has already approved R&R package worth Rs 1411 crores for 7560 beneficiaries.
The collector informed the chief minister that they have selected 1.08 lakh beneficiaries in the first phase for the housing sites, and included 23483 beneficiaries in the second phase. He said that they have completed four stages of verification and identified 131144 beneficiaries as eligible in the district. He said that they are utilizing 2441.85 acres of government land, acquired 607 acres of private land for the scheme. He said that they need to acquire another 140 acres of land and it will be made ready by this month-end. Regarding poor families in Ongole, he said that they have selected 21500 beneficiaries in the town and finished layout for all of the plots at the land taken from the mineral development corporation.
The district SP Siddharth Kaushal, JCs J Venkata Murali, TS Chetan, K Narendra Prasad, DRo V Venkata Subbaiah, CPO D Venkateswarlu, ZP CEO T Kailash Giriswar, and other district officers also participated in the meeting.
