Watch: Thief offer prayers in temple before stealing crown in Hyderabad
A thief was seen offering prayers to Goddess Durga at a temple here in Gunfoundry area around 6.20 pm on Wednesday. It came to light on Thursday after the video widely circulated on social media platforms.
After the prayers, the thief stole the silver crown and made it away by hiding it in his clothes. The temple authorities noticed the incident and alerted the police. Locals also staged a protest and demanded the arrest of the offender.
The police registered a case and launched an investigation. The incident took place in the absence of the temple priest, said police.
