Warangal: Ph D awarded to KITS professor

Warangal: Associate Professor in Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE), Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal, (KITSW), Vodithala Chandra Shekhar Rao has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy (Ph D) by the JNTU

University, Hyderabad, for his thesis on "Iceberg Query Evaluation Techniques Using Set Representation." He carried out his research work under the guidance of Prof. P Sammulal, JNTU Hyderabad.

He carried experimentation on query evaluation techniques for two attributes and multiple attributes. According to the research findings, it revealed that implementation in a computational routine of algorithms for two attributes and multiple attributes with set representation using dynamic programming approach.

Congratulating Chandra Shekhar Rao, KITS Principal Prof. K Ashoka Reddy said that the research is of immense help in data analysts and administrators in retrieving the result on large database. The research work was directly linked with engineering & information technology with respect of efficient query processing, he added.

KITSW Secretary and Correspondent Capt V Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P Narayan Reddy, HOD CSE Prof V Shankar and Prof P Niranjan and PRO Dr D Prabhakara Chary were among others who greeted Chandra Shekhar Rao.
