Warangal: Muslims getting their due in TRS government
Warangal: The Prophet Muhammad taught us the way - love, kindness and compassion especially towards the poor, Warangal East MLA Nannapuneni Narender said. Speaking at the Jalsa e Milad-un-Nabi, a celebration as part of the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, organised by the Intejamia Committee
here on Monday, the MLA said that it has become a practice for him to attend the festivity for the last 23 years.
He said that remembering the life of the Prophet Mohammad, which is full of love, brotherhood and virtues. The Prophet Mohammad's preachings have become a yardstick for the people irrespective of any religion to live harmoniously. Narender said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who has special interest towards the Muslim community, accommodated them in all government committees.
"Efforts are on to construct a function hall in the land belonging to Urdu Bhavan Shadikhana at LB Nagar," he said. This apart, proposals are afoot to establish Gurukul for the minorities. We are also striving hard to set up Haj House in Warangal," Narender said. The MLA said that he had discussed with the officials about the issues faced by the Muslims. He heaped praise on Muslim community for maintaining religious harmony in the city.
The religious elder of Sunni community Hazrath Ahmed Naqshbandi dwelt at length about the sermons propagated by Prophet Mohammad and various aspects of Islamic culture.
Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani gah head Khusroo Pasha, Baktiar Biabani, Urs Dargah Kamal Pasha, Tajuddin, MM Sarwar, Khaleel Mahmoodi, Corporator Bayya Swamy, Syed Masood, Munna Bhai, Chand Pasha, Khadeer, Iqbal, Siddiq Masoom and Liaqat Ali were among others present.
