Warangal: The all-important Master Plan-2041 of the Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) is set to get MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao's approval on October 5, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said, speaking to the media persons at the KUDA administrative building here on Friday. This apart, KTR to lay foundation stone to a slew of development works besides inaugurating a few in the city on the same day, he said.

"The implementation of new Master Plan for the city has been delayed for many years due to successive governments' lackadaisical approach. The credit goes to the TRS government for taking care of the new master plan that likely to address the denizens' needs of next couple of decades at least," Vinay said.

The Master Plan includes separate zones for heritage, recreation, industrial and others, he said. Perhaps for the first time in the country the Master Plan has been made available on Android app, he added. KTR would lay foundation stones for the 13-kilometer Inner Ring Road (IRR) being taken up at a cost of Rs 200 crore for land acquisition and Rs 50 crore for construction; Rs 20 crore Shilparamam opposite Mini Zoo Park; four Kakatiya Kala Thoranams; and second Road Over Bridge (RoB) on Hunter road.

This apart, KTR will inaugurate Bhadrakali Bund promenade on the banks of Bhadrakali tank and urban park at Rampur, he said. He appealed to party workers not to put up arches, flexi boards etc to welcome KTR.

He said that KTR will hold a meeting with the administration of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) and Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA) to review the progress of various development projects. MLAs Nannapuneni Narender, Aroori Ramesh and KUDA chairman M Yadava Reddy were among others present.
