Warangal: 2 held for duping people on promise of jobs abroad
Two people were arrested by the Hanamkonda police for collecting money from the job seekers on the promise of offering jobs in foreign countries.
In a press conference, Hanamkonda ACP Jitendar Reddy said that two identified as Sumanth and Rahul of the seven-member gang were arrested while five others -- Hussain, Siraj, Hema, Sruti and Naveen are at large.
The ACP said that Hussain established a training centre in 2017 at Hanamkonda on the promise that he would provide employment abroad after one-year training and collected Rs 1 lakh from them.
Five students of the institute approached the police in October and complained that the organisers fled away with the money and no job was provided. The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
