Vikarabad: Leaders, babus exhorted to strive for Pattana Pragathi

Vikarabad: Education Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy has called upon municipal chairmen, commissioners and councilors to come together to make Pattana Pragathi programme to be held from February 24 to March 4 a grand success.

Participating as the chief guest at the town people's representatives meeting at JK Function Hall in Manneguda in Pudur mandal, she sensitised people's representatives on municipal law and town development. She said places should be identified for setting up public toilets in the town. "Weeds on the sides of the roads should be removed, and silt removed from drainage," she added listing out other development works need to be executed.

Medak District Collector Dharma Reddy said villages were developed during the two phases of Palle Pragathi programme. "Problems pertaining to 97 wards will be identified and solved during the 10-day Pattana Pragathi programme. Special officers have been deputed to execute the works," he added.

MLAs Methuku Anand (Vikarabad), Koppula Mahesh Reddy (Pargi), Patnam Mahender Reddy (Kodangal), State Health and Infrastructure Corporation Chairman P Krishna Murthy, Additional Collector Chandraiah, RDO Upender Reddy, DFO Venu Madhav, DRDO Krishnan, EE RWS Baba Srinivas, Pudur Tahsidar Deepak and others were present.
