Utilise funds for beautification of Husnabad: MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar

Husnabad: MLA Vodithala Satish Kumar ordered the ruling body of Husnabad municipality to make the town as problem-free municipality along with transforming as beautiful town in the State.

He was the chief guest at the budget session, chaired by Municipal Chairperson Akula Rajitha at the municipal office here on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA ordered the officials to identify important issues and try to solve them in a stepwise manner.

The officials were told to solve problems pertaining to roads on war footage as people will face lot of problems during the coming season.

Steps must be taken to prevent rise in mosquito and other insects' population, which will cause communicable diseases along with maintaining sanitisation perfectly across the town.

Plant saplings on the either sides of the road under Haritha Haram and give the responsibility of its protection to the local public representatives and businessmen, he ordered.

MLA Satish Kumar appreciated the municipal officials and sanitation workers, who showed their commitment and dedication in rendering services to prevent the spread of coronavirus by taking serious precautionary steps.

He ordered to utilise Rs 5.40 crores funds properly that would be generated with collection of house tax, auction and through government grants along with completing the works which are already started and left in pending.

Provide all basic facilities in the newly formed colonies and issue permissions to new house constructions transparently as per the rules and guidelines issued by the government and behave strictly regarding the encroachment of roads, he said.

MLA Satish Kumar assured that he would take initiation for bringing more funds for the development of Husnabad town with the cooperation and support of Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao and Finance Minister T Harish Rao and ordered the officials to prepare proposals for the purpose.

Developmental activities are taking place unlike earlier and it is the responsibility of the officials to complete them within the deadline by involving the participation of public, he added.

Later, MLA Satish Kumar distributed rice to poor families under the leadership of State MPP forum president S Prabhakar Reddy.
