Warangal: The Uttaradhikari (successor-designate) of Visakha Sarada Peetham seer Swatmanandendra Saraswati has said that he was in Warangal as part of Hindu Dharma Prachara Yatra.

Speaking to media persons at Rajya Sabha member Capt V Laxmikantha Rao's residence in Hanamkonda on Friday, he said that seer Swaroopanandendra Swami, who is in Rishikesh as part of performing Chaturmasa Deeksha, has told us to take up Dharma Prachara Yatra to spread the greatness of Hindu culture and tradition among the people.

"I started my yatra from north Telangana. It is noticeable that people in Telangana are committed towards upholding the Hindu Dharma, spirituality, culture and traditions. We are receiving an overwhelming response from the devotees. After Devi navaratri utsavams in erstwhile Warangal district, my yatra will continue to other parts of the State. It will take about 58 days," seer said.

When asked about the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, he said it has been a long struggle for the country to stay united as Akhand Bharat. As far as knowledge and spirituality is concerned, India is a guiding force to the world, he said.

When former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao visited the peetham in 2004, Rajya Sabha member Capt V Laxmikantha Rao had asked us to visit Warangal, he said. Husnabad MLA V Sathish Kumar and senior journalist P V Madan Mohan have been in touch with the peetham, he added.
