Union minister sure of Prasad’s win
Wanaparthy : Union Minister Dr L Murugan asserted here on Friday that victory of party candidate Bharat Prasad in Nagarkurnool LS constituency is confirmed; “We are trying for a huge majority,” he said.
Addressing the party mandal unit presidents’ meet, after inspecting the arrangements for Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s ‘Vijaya Sankalpa Sabha’ in support of Prasad, the minister said the Nagarkurnool seat has been included in the party aim of securing 400 seats.
The minister said with the victory of Prasad, Wanaparthy people’s long cherished railway line and mango processing unit, which will fetch higher revenue to farmers, would materialise along with increased employment opportunities for youth.
Murugan claimed that CM A Revanth Reddy, after realising that the BJP would secure more than 400 seats in the ensuing elections, has been resorting to false allegations that the Constitution would be in danger if the saffron party comes to power at the Centre and that the SC, ST and BC reservations would be scrapped. He contended that Reddy had reduced Telangana people to laughingstock by getting caught with a morphed video.
Among those present at the mandal presidents’ meeting were district party president D Narayana and State executive members.
